According to the CQI Classification of Premium Robusta Coffee, the positive flavor profile of Robusta coffee includes:
Fruits: cherries, blackcurrants, raisins, cranberries, berries, yellow lemons, figs, dates
Nuts: walnuts, almonds, malt
Spices: cloves, coriander, brown spices
Sweet: molasses, syrup, maltose, honey, dark chocolate, cocoa, butter
Robusta Q System is a 2010 certification of coffee quality certification launched by CQI in collaboration with the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA). In 2019, CQI released the Fine Robusta Standards and Protocles, Robusta coffee is native to Uganda, and UCDA and CQI want to improve Robusta quality and train coffee professionals to promote good Robusta coffee standards.
